Working with Warwick

Warwick businesses are a county town balancing heritage with serious professional weight.

Warwick carries two reputations at once — the castle-and-tourists picture-postcard town, and the working county seat full of law, finance and property firms. Good design here has to flatter the history without getting lost in it.

1

Heritage, tourism and hospitality

Warwick Castle, the medieval centre and the racecourse pull a steady visitor economy — hotels, attractions, restaurants and shops that need identity worthy of the setting they sit in.

2

County professional services

As the county town, Warwick concentrates law, finance, property and consultancy firms whose brand and web work has to read as established and trustworthy at a glance.

3

Independent makers and the Saltisford quarter

Around Saltisford and Smith Street sit the independent studios, makers and small-batch producers — the briefs where character and craft matter most.

How a project runs across 17 miles.

Most of the work happens over video — same as it does for our clients in London, Bristol or Milan. But for Warwick briefs there are four moments where we'll always come to you in person, included in the quote at no mark-up.

1Kickoff

We come to you

A 90-minute discovery session at your office, café, studio or building site — wherever the work actually lives.

2Direction

Two routes, over video

Two design directions presented and worked through over Zoom or Meet — usually 60–90 minutes, recorded and shared.

Refinement & reviews

Designs refined and shared async via Figma and PDFs. Two scheduled review calls; ad-hoc questions handled within the working day.

4Deliver

Press-check or handover

We attend the press-check for print and packaging work, or run a handover session at your office for digital projects — at no charge for Warwick-area suppliers.

Warwick FAQ

The five questions Warwick clients always ask.

If yours isn't here, drop us a note at hello@saint-nicolas.co.uk — written response inside one working day.

Do you offer in-person meetings with Warwick clients?

Yes. Our studio is 17 miles from Warwick town centre — a 30-minute drive on the A46, or a 45-minute train ride. We'll come to you for the kickoff and any decisive sessions (press-checks, brand reveals, launch reviews) at no additional charge.

Day-to-day work runs over video, which keeps the budget on the design and not the travel. If you'd rather meet at the studio in Nuneaton, that's an open invitation — we've got coffee, a long table, and a wall to print work onto.

Which areas of Warwick do you cover?

All of Warwick and the surrounding districts — from the town centre, Saltisford, Smith Street and Warwick Gates to Emscote, Myton, Woodloes, Hampton Magna, Budbrooke and Forbes. Wherever you are in Warwick, you're a 30-minute drive up the A46 from the studio, so working together is easy.

We also work with clients across Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, Coventry and Nuneaton — all an easy reach from Nuneaton.

How quickly can you get to Warwick for a press-check or proof sign-off?

Same-day if needed, with reasonable notice. The A46 connects the studio to Warwick's printers and trade estates in 30 minutes off-peak; the train is faster than driving in rush hour.

We attend press-checks for print and packaging projects as standard, and proof sign-offs at suppliers in Warwick, Leamington and the Coventry print cluster. If your printer's local, we probably already know it.

What kinds of Warwick businesses do you typically work with?

Heritage, tourism and hospitality businesses around the castle and town centre, county-level professional firms in law, finance and property, and independent makers and studios around the Saltisford quarter and Smith Street.

We work across nine design disciplines — brand, web, packaging, print, editorial and social — and most projects combine two or three. Browse the full portfolio for examples by discipline.

How do you price design projects for Warwick clients?

Same as anywhere — every project is quoted bespoke against scope, complexity and turnaround, with a written estimate before any work starts.

No travel mark-up for Warwick projects: we're close enough that on-site sessions don't change the brief. We don't publish day rates or package prices because every brief is genuinely different, and a fair quote needs context. Send us a brief or just a paragraph about what you're trying to do and we'll come back within one working day.
