Section 01

Pricing & quotes.

Saint Nicolas doesn't publish price bands. Every project is quoted bespoke after a short discovery call. Here's what to expect.

How do you price your projects?
Every project is quoted bespoke against the scope, deliverables and timeline — there is no fixed price list. After a short discovery call we send a written estimate with clear deliverables, turnaround and revision rounds, so you know exactly what you're getting before anything starts. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so.
Do you offer payment plans?
For larger engagements (full brand identity, websites, packaging suites) we typically split the fee 30/40/30 across kickoff, mid-project and handover. For smaller projects it's 50% on kickoff, 50% on delivery. Either way the structure is agreed in writing before work begins.
What happens after I request a quote?
You'll get an acknowledgement within one working day. We'll usually propose a short discovery call (30–45 minutes) to understand the scope properly. After the call we send a written estimate with deliverables, timeline and engagement structure. Nothing is committed until you say so.
Do you charge for the discovery call?
No. The initial discovery call is free and not contingent on signing. If we're not the right fit, we'll usually point you toward someone who is — that's also free.
Section 02

Timelines & turnaround.

Indicative ranges across services are listed on our Process page. The specifics below.

How long does a typical project take?
It depends on the discipline. A logo project runs 3–4 weeks. A full brand identity sits at 6–8 weeks. A marketing website is 8–12 weeks. A stationery suite is 2–4 weeks. Full timeline ranges per service are listed on our Process page.
Can you work to a tight deadline?
Sometimes. We'll always be honest about whether a date is realistic. If a deadline is genuinely fixed (event, print run, launch), tell us up front so we can scope to it — that occasionally means trimming scope rather than rushing the work.
What if my project takes longer than estimated?
If delays come from our side (rare), the original quote stands. If they come from the client side — slow feedback, scope change, new stakeholders entering late — we'll flag it early and discuss extension or rescope before any cost change.
Section 03

Process & working together.

How a project actually runs once we've shaken hands.

What does your design process look like?
Every project runs through four short phases: Discover (learn the business), Direction (explore two routes), Develop (refine the chosen direction), Deliver (final files, guidelines, handover). You see real work and make a real decision at the end of every phase. The full process is documented on our Process page.
How many revision rounds are included?
Two structured revision rounds per phase are included as standard. In practice that's almost always enough — we focus rounds on specific decisions, not endless tweaks. Additional rounds are quoted per hour if you need them.
Who will I actually be working with?
You'll work directly with the principal designer on every project — no account manager in between, no juniors doing the work that matters. For larger engagements we sometimes bring in trusted named specialists (illustrators, developers, photographers), always with you knowing who they are and what they're doing.
What if we're not happy with the direction shown?
The Direction phase ends with an explicit check-in. If neither route is landing, that's the moment to say so and we adjust together. We'd rather pause and reset than push through something you don't believe in. We've not had to walk away from a project yet, but the door is open if it's not working.
Section 04

Scope & deliverables.

What you'll actually receive at the end of a project.

What's included in the project scope?
Every project has a written scope agreed before kickoff. Each service has its own page (Logo Design, Website Design, Packaging Design, etc.) listing exactly what's included as standard. Anything outside that scope is quoted separately — never assumed.
What file formats do you deliver?
Whatever your team needs. Standard deliverables include vector (SVG, EPS, PDF) and raster (PNG, JPG) in light and dark variants. For web work: native code (HTML/CSS/JS) or CMS-ready setups. For print: print-ready PDF/X with bleeds and crop marks. Source files (Figma, InDesign, Illustrator) on request.
Do you offer brand guidelines?
Yes. A short usage guidelines PDF is included with every brand identity and logo project. Longer brand guidelines (typography, voice, motion, application standards) are available as a separate engagement when needed.
Section 05

Locations & remote work.

We're based in Nuneaton. We work everywhere.

Do you work with clients outside Nuneaton?
Yes. We work in person across the Midlands (Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester, Solihull, Rugby) and remotely with clients across the UK and internationally. Past projects have shipped into 14 countries.
Are all your services available remotely?
Every service is available end-to-end remotely. Kickoff calls happen on video, presentations are shared synchronously, files are delivered digitally, and printers are managed remotely. Most of our recent international clients have been entirely remote engagements.
Can we meet in person?
Absolutely — we love it. We can come to you in the Midlands, or you can visit the studio in Nuneaton. In-person kickoff meetings, design presentations and press-checks are often the most useful sessions of a project.
Section 06

After launch.

The work doesn't stop when the files are handed over.

Do you offer ongoing support after launch?
Yes. Every project includes a 30-day post-launch window for questions and small adjustments at no extra cost. After that, websites have monthly care plans (updates, performance, small content edits) and brand identities have quarterly review retainers.
Can you help train our team to use the assets?
Yes. For brand handovers we offer a 90-minute training session covering usage guidelines, asset library structure and common pitfalls. For Instagram template projects we include team training as standard.
What if we need extra work later?
You can book additional design hours by retainer, or commission discrete follow-up projects at any time. Past clients get priority scheduling — we keep some capacity open each month for existing relationships.
