Logo design for Dom's Threapeutic Counselling

The challenge

The mental health and wellness industry requires a visual identity that balances clinical professionalism with deep empathy, safety and warmth. The core task was to design a corporate identity for Dom's Therapeutic Counselling that breaks away from cold, sterile medical branding. The logo needed to feel highly approachable, protective and grounding, offering an immediate sense of peace and confidentiality to clients who may be experiencing vulnerability or distress.

Our approach

We developed a nurturing, circular emblem system that uses organic geometry and psychological colour theory to communicate growth and stability.

The Iconography At the centre of the emblem sits a stylised tree with sprouting green leaves, a universal symbol for personal growth, healing and mental clarity. The roots of the tree blend into soft, waving green bands that resemble supportive, cupped hands, visually reinforcing the concept of a safe, held environment.

The Typography We utilised a clean, friendly sans serif typeface arranged in a perfect circular path around the emblem. This framing creates a self contained, protective badge that feels complete and unified.

The Color Palette The brand identity relies on a calming, monochrome palette of soft mint greens, sages and deep forest tones. These colours are scientifically proven to reduce anxiety, promote tranquility and evoke feelings of renewal.

The outcome

The final asset is a versatile, compassionate brand identity that serves as a welcoming beacon for the counselling practice. The circular badge format translates seamlessly across diverse touch points, functioning perfectly as a digital profile icon, a website header or printed on private practice stationery. For portfolio presentation, the mark is presented over a muted, green tinted background image of a comfortable, face to face therapy session, underscoring the brand's core values of open communication, human connection and mental wellbeing.
