This portfolio showcase highlights the packaging design and retail box structure for Tiger Lighting Eco Halogen Light Bulbs. The objective was to design a high octane, ferocious retail carton that commands attention on busy hardware and supermarket lighting shelves, instantly communicating energy efficient eco-halogen performance, bright lumen output, and long lasting bulb life.
Design & Requirements Breakdown
Visual Symbolism – The design features a roaring, glowing tiger face emblem enveloped in golden ember halos, set against a dark textured background. High resolution product renders of the clear bulb are flanked by clear bulb shape indicators (e.g., Candle, Golf Ball, Globe) and a 4-pack quantity graphic, visually reinforcing raw illuminating power, energy efficiency, and instant brightness.
Typographic Architecture – A fiery, dimensional block header delivers "TIGER LIGHTING" with maximum visual impact, perfectly balanced by structured, high contrast white call outs detailing wattage equivalencies (e.g., "28W = 40W" or "42W = 55W"), bulb fitting types (SES E14, BC B22), and clear lumen ratings for immediate consumer navigation.
Premium Presentation – The folding cardboard carton layout utilises full bleed vibrant graphics across all faces, leaving ample room on side panels for mandatory barcode blocks, energy class ratings, dimmable feature icons, and regulatory safety marks. The structural box layout ensures cohesive shelf stacking and high impact multi pack retail presentation.
Strategic Colour Choice – High octane fiery orange and warm golden yellow form a glowing core, set against deep charcoal black and rich maroon undertones. This high contrast palette signals radiant light output, heat resistance, and a bold, aggressive brand identity.
