This portfolio showcase highlights the packaging design and retail shelf box execution for Hard Core Serious Supplements High Protein Bars. The objective was to design an aggressive, high potency foil wrapper and matching counter display box that commands retail gantry presence while clearly communicating high protein formula specs, flavour variety, and hardcore strength training utility.

Design & Requirements Breakdown

Visual Symbolism – The design features a cracked charcoal rock background texture paired with a star and blade "HARD CORE" emblem, anchored by a pile of raw coal briquettes. This rugged visual composition directly evokes unyielding strength, raw muscle building energy, and high intensity athletic endurance.

Typographic Architecture – A heavy, forward leaning italic sans-serif header delivers "Protein" with high speed athletic impact, balanced by a sharp, angular brand logo and high contrast colour coded flavour banners ("Cookies & Cream" and "Strawberry Fusion") for effortless shelf legibility and instant variant recognition.

Premium Presentation – The full wrap foil wrapper layout seamlessly mirrors the graphics of the pop up counter display box (CDU). The structural box design utilises a serrated tear away header flap that converts directly into a retail point of sale display tray for high traffic gym counters and supplement stores.

Strategic Colour Choice – High visibility neon electric yellow is paired with deep charcoal black, slate gray cracked rock textures, and vibrant accent banners (such as crimson red for Strawberry Fusion) to establish a high contrast, industrial aesthetic that signals intense performance and serious nutrition.
