Lean Coffee Pouch and Sachet Packaging Design

The challenge

The wellness and weight management coffee sector is highly saturated, with products often utilising aggressive, hyper clinical designs or generic pharmacy branding. The objective was to design a comprehensive packaging system for Lean Coffee (Mocha flavor) that functions seamlessly across both a bulk outer pouch and individual, single serve sachets. The primary challenge lay in creating a minimalist, elegant aesthetic that emphasises flavour and lifestyle wellness, ensuring the product looks appetising while clearly communicating its benefits as a dietary supplement.

Our approach

We developed a warm, modern, and sensory driven visual identity that relies on organic forms and clean informational grids.

The Colour & Form We implemented a soothing, earth toned colour palette consisting of warm creams, rich mocha browns and sandy tans. A fluid, rolling wave motif anchors the bottom of both the pouch and sachet, subtly mimicking the silky texture of poured coffee and crema.

The Typography We paired a soft, clean lowercase sans serif font for the word "lean" with a bold, high impact uppercase typeface for "COFFEE," instantly creating a balanced and modern brand mark that commands attention.

The Information Architecture We created a vertical stack of minimalist line icons on the right margin of the pouch (and down the face of the sachet) to efficiently showcase key product claims of Delicious Flavour, No Added Sugar, Sustained Energy and Clean Ingredients.

The outcome

The final asset is a highly cohesive and visually comforting packaging suite that bridges the gap between premium specialty coffee and functional health supplements. The design successfully scales down from the large stand up pouch to the narrow, travel friendly sachet without losing legibility or brand impact. The production files were delivered as optimised vector die lines prepared for flexible matte finish film, ensuring the rich coffee tones look smooth, premium and fingerprint resistant on retail shelves and in lifestyle photography.
