Hana Pet Shelter Brochure Design

The challenge

Non-profit organisations and animal welfare shelters require marketing materials that instantly evoke emotional empathy while projecting structured, professional credibility. The objective was to design a compelling promotional brochure for Hana Pet Shelter. The primary challenge lay in creating an approachable, family friendly visual system that drives engagement for pet adoption programs without appearing overly sombre or clinical. The layout needed to clearly house critical shelter information, call to action prompts and adoption contact channels within a modern, geometric print format that immediately captures a reader's heart.

Our approach

We developed a vibrant, friendly design system that utilises soft geometric framing, playful textures, and high impact pet photography.

The Visual Framing The brochure cover features a striking, high resolution portrait of a happy, expressive dog. We enclosed this focal image within a sharp hexagonal window bordered by an energetic magenta frame, drawing immediate focus to the animal’s welcoming expression.

The Typography & Message We implemented a bold, contemporary sans serif typeface for the primary emotional hook, "YOUR AFFECTION WANTED." The word "WANTED" is styled in a high contrast white font against a soft pastel teal background block, maximising legibility for a powerful, scroll stopping headline.

The Branding & Texture The top center cleanly integrates the "Hana Pet Shelter" hexagonal line art logo. We layered the left hand beige colour panel with a subtle, repeating pattern of faint dog paw prints, adding a playful texture that softens the structural geometry. A sharp black triangle anchors the lower right corner, creating a distinct container for the shelter's direct phone number.

The outcome

The final asset delivers a warm, highly polished brochure cover that beautifully elevates Hana Pet Shelter's public outreach and fundraising initiatives. The harmonious combination of modern geometric lines, friendly pastel tones and playful print textures positions the shelter as an inviting, trustworthy and compassionate community hub. The final digital templates were delivered as an optimised print ready package with precise bleed adjustments, ensuring the soft teals, vibrant magentas and detailed animal portraiture reproduce flawlessly on high quality, matte finished paper stock.
